Privacy Notice
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Drip’d ("Drip’d", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Drip’d iOS app, the Drip’d web dashboard, getdripd.app, and related services (the "Service"). Drip’d puts together complete outfits from a catalog of real products sold by third-party stores, and shows a preview of each outfit on a stock model or, if you choose, on a photo of you. When you use your own photo, photos are central to how that preview works; in the web dashboard, looks are previewed on a model from a catalog you browse and assemble, and a personal photo isn't required. This notice explains how we handle information across both.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information you provide
- Account information — your email and name, provided when you sign in with Apple or Google through our identity provider, Amazon Cognito. If you choose Hide My Email, we only ever see Apple's relay address. You can also use the app as a guest, without an account, to browse and to try looks on a stock model.
- Photos — photos of yourself that you upload or capture so Drip’d can create an outfit preview on your image. On your device, saved photos remain in the app's private storage.
- Style inputs — the occasion, atmosphere, weather, color theme, budget, and preferences you enter (including your height, if you choose to give it, which we use only to show how a garment's length falls on you), including text you dictate. If you use the microphone button, Apple's speech recognition turns your voice into text; we receive the text, never the recording.
- Location (optional) — if you allow it, your approximate location is used to look up the weather for your look. You can decline and enter the weather yourself.
- Closet pieces, saved looks and polls — items you add to your closet, looks you save, and polls you share. A poll link can be opened by anyone you send it to; they see the look, not your account.
- Purchases — subscriptions are bought through Apple. We receive a signed receipt that says which plan you have and when it renews; we never see your payment details.
B. Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — app interactions, diagnostic logs, device type, and app version, used to operate and improve the Service and diagnose problems.
C. Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers — when you continue with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your email and name) to create your account.
- No advertising partners — the app does not show ads and does not include advertising software, so no ad network receives information about you from Drip’d.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service — creating outfit previews from your photo and style inputs.
- To operate accounts and enforce plan limits (such as the Free-tier daily and paid-plan monthly look limits).
- To improve and secure the Service, prevent abuse, and diagnose issues.
- To communicate with you about the Service.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Outfit Previews & Your Photos
To make a look, your photo and the selected products are sent to our servers and from there to the third-party image providers that create and check the preview. Today those providers are OpenAI (image creation and image analysis) and Anthropic (image analysis and styling text). The iOS app asks for your permission before the first time your photo is sent to them, and you can withdraw it in Me › Privacy.
We send only what is needed for the look, under contracts that bar these providers from using it to advertise to you, and we ask them not to use it for training. We do not use your photos to advertise to others, and we do not sell your photos.
4. How We Share Information
- Service providers — cloud hosting, storage, identity (Amazon Cognito), Apple (purchases), and the image providers named above, which process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Service.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this notice.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your Photos & Previews
Profile photo. You can choose a profile photo in the app (Me › Profile photo). It is stored with your account, shown only to you, and deleted when you remove it or delete your account. If you sign in with Google, the picture on your Google account is shown until you choose your own; Apple does not provide one, so the app shows your initials instead.
Photos you save in the app live in the app's private on-device storage and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app. Photos uploaded to make a look, and the resulting look images, are retained only as needed to provide and improve the Service and are associated with your account. You can request deletion (see below).
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correction — request a copy or correction of your information.
- Deletion — delete saved photos in the app at any time. Delete your account and everything associated with it in the app (Me › Delete account), or by emailing us.
- Communications — opt out of non-essential messages.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@getdripd.app.
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it, except where a longer period is required by law.
8. Data Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, scoped access, and secure token storage on your device (the iOS Keychain, device-only). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and limit the use of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Submit requests to privacy@getdripd.app.
11. International Transfers
We operate in the United States and may process information there. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
12. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
